The ladies proudly showed off their hand dyed yarn. Now what will they become?

The weather couldn't have been any better for this time of year. We all enjoyed hours of knitting on the porch enjoying a stunning view.
Cheri: Easy Goes It Shawl
Cheri is working on the Easy Goes It by Finicky Creations. Cheri was taught who to knit by her daughter 13 years ago.

Gail
Her mother taught her at the age of 10 knitting for her Greyhouds. She took classed and was taught how to crochets by her great aunt at 6.
Val: Rowan Poncho
At age 18 Val started to take knitting class up in New Hampshire. A friend taught her at the age of 14 how to crochet.
Mariela
Working on her own design of a family heirloom blanket. She didn't start knitting till in her 30s. Her grandma taught her crochet at 11.
Donna
Donna is working on a sweater for her grandson. She was taught by her mom how to knit at age 6, but self taught her how to crochet.
Melody: Loop-de-Loop Scarf
At age 13 her mom taught her how to crochet. She didn't pick up knitting till about 12 years ago being taught by a friend.
Jamie: Infinity Cowl
A co-worker taught Jamie how to knit in the 40s. It shows its never too late to get started!
Debbie: Percentage Sweater
Debbie was 30 when her friend Pendy taught her how to knit. Her WIP is the Percentage Sweater by Elizabeth Zimmermann.

Betty: Baby Blanket
Betty is a avid crocheter and was taught by her mom at age 13. She taught herself how to knit in 2005.
Ekky: Aran Ilse Sweater
Ekky is knitting a sweater her mom had knitted her when she was a teenager. Ekky is using all of her mom's Olive tools in memory of her.
Eva
Eva is working on some socks. She started knitting in 2006 and was taught by her aunt. Her grandma taught her how to crochet as a child.
Kathy: Out 'n About Shawl
Her mom taught her to knit at age 17 but she didn't really get into knitting till she retaught herself 10 years later.
Sana: : Cardigan
Sana is a avid knitter but crochet this time a beautiful cardigan. Mom taught her how to crochet at a kid but she taught herself knitting.
Brioche Class
Barbara is teaching the Brioche Class. Her mom taught her the craft at age 12.
Linen Stitch Class
Meg is teaching the Linin Stitch Class

The Guild sponsor a 3-day knitting retreat in September off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Little Switzerland.
